Just take a walk down lonely street...

so, second post from Deuchland. I'll save any of u hoping to see some tattoos the grief of reading further. i have not photographed a single tattoo. I am far too preoccupied with food. The food here is divine. I did do a nice pin up yesterday that i shoulda photographed... but i forgot to. sorry.

So, back to the food! (did i mention it's really really good here?) Me n ely went to a supermarket last night to get some booze. We left with a bag full of salami.... (ely is vegetarian... i will quite happily take all the weird looks that last sentence received) ... we also got wasabi cheese... and milk chocolate Philadelphia cheese......

the supermarket sold the coolest shit ever....

also found some 'dirty harry' liquor for harry back in London. spiffy.

and check out the eggs in preparation for Easter!!!!

incredible.

in other news, we had some hostel trouble, and ended up moving. and having to pay a ludicrous penalty for moving :( the good news is we no longer have to share a room with a ninja, and we can amuse ourselves with 80's porn on tv and doing shadow puppets on the ceiling....

hours of fun. we also have a fridge which is RAD... and we can smoke indoors. mental. i love the new hostel. it's totally ghetto fabulous... and not full of wanky traveller types.

it's also just down the road from Lukas and his delighful Girlfriends flat, so we got a look around. Their place is incredible. Art studio, stunning kitchen, adorable snug, a bedroom for each of them (sensible and adorable coz their dvd collections are pretty different... haha) AND a WALK IN WARDROBE that lukas made. it's bigger than y entire bedroom. crazy! they r such a sweet couple. they've been taking really good care of us, and we r both very appreciative. :)

This is in the art studio...

in other news, we went around the oldest part of the city. my phone died shortly, so not many photos.... but here's a few.

i bought a few little paintings, and a handmade felt donkey dog cat rooster thing... which is in one of Grimm's fairytales set in Bremmen... (below is a statue of what i'm talking about... and if u rub the donkeys front feet u get good luck, which'll explain why they r worn n shiny )

heres another one i spotted...

so cute!

tonight, we r going out for dinner with Lukas and his girlfriend (i do know her name... it's Ely... so to avoid confusion... as i am travelling with an 'Ely'... she is Lukas' girlfriend.... to clarify.) and then we are going to THE HEARTBREAK HOTEL!

cant wait! theres so many places i wanna go to, but we r working long hours. (today was 10am til 8pm....) so it's hard to find the time, and we r both fully booked.... so i may have to come back! (not that i need an excuse mind....)

anyways... if tonight's dinner is anything like what i had last night....

i will be a very chipper lady :)

til next time...

Germany n stuff...

so this is proving to be hard work. German keyboards are just down right crazy i tell ya!

so as i have a free minute (been pretty hectic. nice and busy with work.... so aint complaining!) i figured i could post some pics, to share... and to clear some room on my shitty lil .... (where in the world is the apostrophe key?.... ) anyways... where was i...... oh..... CAMERA.

so apologies for the shoddy quality of photos, as we had to pack light, we only brought one camera, so me n ely could share. turns out ely doesnt like taking her camera anywhere. who knew? so here'(found the fucking apostrophe!)s some pics from last night.... where we walked around the jaw droppingly stunning town square and had a delicious meal in a wine cellar dating back to the 1400's.

the buildings around here are stunning. there is so much to look at.

I'm hoping to go to this church's art gallery before i leave. i hear it's incredible. also planning on going to an exhibition about Voodoo if time allows....

So.... to the restaurant.... upon entry i noticed each light was a different monk. this is the best photo i could possibly get without standing on a bunch of peoples dinner I'm afraid.

The place was full of these stunning.... massive wine barrels.

The motely crue. minus yours truly. i was taking the photo..... obviously....

there were adorable private rooms for dinners, tiny and cute, with incredible paintings lining the walls. i heard from Lukas that the minimum amount of ppl allowed to dine in these is 3. i reckon it's coz people fuck in those rooms. i would.

this dude was outside on the wall of a building i cannot recall the name of. i cant recall the name of any buildings round here. i'm not getting to grips with german. but i DO know how to say 'the cow's really flying' which i hear is what old people say when they are at a fun hip party. that's all i need to know..... isn't it!?

and this last photo is some of the ceiling in the cellar. i would have moved this to the other pics of where i had dinner, but cutting and pasting in German escapes my capabilities.

even German billboards are friggin cool!

right.... til next time! :)

tattoodles and life happenings....

so, been a fairly busy week thus far. sunday i spent the entire day filming a pilot for a top secret TV show. seeing as it's top secret, i can't really talk about it, or post photos. :(

had a gig saturday night, and caught up with some mates from the land of Ire.... good to see that lot, and got to tattoo the lovely Traycee again....

se sat like a rock.
unbelievable.

yesterday Mr Tommy Von Shankle-badger came in and got a ferret/badger death match tattoo....

i dressed appropriately....

this weekend i am meeting my Mother for an epic Sunday roast at a pub my friend is the chef at. Can't wait. possibly some of the best food i've eaten. good stuff.

Then Monday morning i am off to the airport to climb into something that doesn't look like it can fly.... and heading of to Bremen in Germany to do a week long guest spot with the guys at Hellfish.

yup. it's all go i tell ya!

8 legged freaks

so, today i tattooed.... you guessed it! another octopus. yup. not sure whats going on here.... but clearly i am out of the loop. anyways, it was on Kyle. A rather special young lad, who pulls a good pint.... we are gonna add a little shading at a later date, and maybe some sepia tones, but not too much.... anyways, here's what we got done today.....

he had an awful lot of faith in me, seeing as when i drew it on.... it didn't look anything like this really.

in other news, i'll be tattooing the delightful Traycee again, and she popped in with gifts!

behold!!!

amazing!

in other, non related or "my friends are awesome" news.... i went to go see Kylesa and Circle Takes the Square last night with Layla. Rad gig, all round....

yup. After which, i got chatting to Circle Takes the Square, and got them to pose for my mate Arthur, who is in Hong Kong... and likes them very very much... it was hard going, what with only my phone, an eyebrow pencil... and shoddy lighting....

take 1....

take 2...

take 3 had to suffice ... even though i look like a spastic. ah well.

Arthur was very pleased... i think his reaction was along the lines of "Holy Mother of DICK!"

brilliant. haven't done that for him since THIS... a few years ago....

might make a habit of it.

busy as a bee

been busy of late. in face, verging on stressed.... but anyways.... tuesday was my day off, and it was glorious. the sun was shining, got everything i needed to do done, got everything i wanted to do done... and baked another vegan banana cake for kirsty too.

so in the evening, i met up with kerry for some drinks in a blues bar, dinner in an awesome (seriously, AWESOME) restaurant...

best fish finger sandwich EVER

and tasty ass mussels!

Also bought some jam from their larder... which is adorable. everywhere should have a larder selling jam.

after which, we went to the glorious screen on the green, settled down with a bottle of wine, ready for some psychology and sex.

we watched THIS

so back to work....

Yesterday, Chester who was one of my favourite customers from Hong Kong came in to try to finish off his sleeve.... we did a whole days work, but alas.... we didn't manage it all. He'd flown in from australia that same day, and must have really been feeling it, but he sat like a rock. He flies to HK for a week then back to Oz, so he's gonna try to get it finished off by the guys at Star Crossed. There the cycle ends.

Heres what we got done...

in other news, kerry bought me a friggin' WICKED present!
BEHOLD....

a limited edition box set of the Star Trek movies on VHS!

fuck yeah!

and Traycee sent me some rad glasses as a surprise!

my friends spoil me rotten. love them long time. <3

St(r)and by me

So, hello there. Cant remember the last time i posted anything, but simultaneously am pretty sure it wasn't too long ago. Odd.

Anyways, had a fun robot to do on Saturday... here it is...

also did some more mini octopuses on lulu.... but didn't get pics... so maybe is she sends some... if not.... it aint the end of the world, but one has the BEST FACE EVER. Also, was great to see how smooth the ones i did at Brighton healed up. Lovely.

So yesterday, Simon, Rory (moist), and myself were going to go for a Sunday roast at the Blackfriar... in ... you guessed it u clever nelly... Blackfriars. Anyways, turns out it was closed for refurbishment, which will explain why they failed to answer their phone all morning whilst i haplessly attempted to find out if they were dog friendly.

So, along the Thames we walked...

anyways, found a nice little pub doing an incredible roast... "The George" it was.

i tried my hardest, but lost at the 'eating all your food' game...
(sorry starving children in Africa) :(

so, then we headed to the Cheshire Cheese for an apres-roast beverage...

it too was closed... and i was starting to worry i was sensing a trend occurring. a terrible trend... which surely would never catch on...

It didn't.

Went here next...

Glorious little find.

Then we contemplated going in here....

but got distracted by this...

*drool*

So then we moseyed on down to Covent Garden, where i saw this guy...

Contemplated this place...

Chose not to (what can i say, we have standards, even on a pub crawl)...

Instead went in here...

where i had a delightful strawberry beer, and tried some oyster stout... (yeah, u read that right)

after this, my phone ran outta battery... so no more photos... but we went to a few other nice little pubs, and ended up in the toucan, which is utterly adorable, and where my phone clinched onto it's last remnants of juice to take these pics...

all in all a splendid day, good ales, good company, good food, good weather ..... good all round really!

good times.
