life in general

so, been a while since my last post, and I've been up to an awful lot.... so here goes....

Over the weekend me and my buddy Scotty had tickets to go see We are the Physics play upstairs at the Garage... I then discovered that another gig was downstairs that a heap of my friends were going to.... so Scotty decided we should get tickets for that too.... and in his words "have a mini festival".

Didnt really go to plan, because we couldn't get re-entry for upstairs, so we stayed til the band we wanted to watch played,

then headed downstairs for the Inner Terrestrials set. Was nice seeing so many old friends.

i also got a photo with a man dressed as a banana....

was pretty drunk by that point... but remember running down the road yelling "banana man! wait!!!!"

he waited alright.

last Sunday Rory, Simon and myself walked all through highgate to The Spaniards for a pretty epic roast. The walk was really nice, passing incredible houses worth at least 3 million quid. Milo seemed to enjoy pissing on the very expensive walls outside these very expensive residences.

yup.

we got lucky with the weather, for a while, and Milo made himself at home on the table next to my Elderflower cider.

Anyways, as good as the weather was, like everything in life, it turned shitty... so we headed back to Highgate, and nipped in the Oxfam bookshop for shelter.

i picked up a book which i am really enjoying...

only started it this week and i'm almost through it

"Rory has pulled off something rather special"

indeed.

We ended up in another little pub, waiting for the rain to give in... and i got chatted up by a weird old man, who said "whats the difference between intelligent conversation and sex?"
...
"come lie down with me and we'll talk about it"

nice.

he had a pretty badass old school tattoo...

and felt the need to pretend like he had lost a hand in the war...

he hadn't.

i remember both his hands touching me as he 'squeezed' past.

So then we went to the Flask for a few more drinks.... then the Woodman.... for a few more drinks.

Typical Sunday really.

On Tuesday i was surprised to find my Dad would be in London... so after what i can only describe as a god awful dentists appointment, i took him the The Arkley for lunch...

he seemed pretty bummed that Milo didn't seem to recognise him...

but Milo was his lovely self, and settled on his lap which seemed to rectify any wrongs.

Lunch was awesome...

So later in the week i went to a double screening of the Wicker Man and the Wicker Tree (which u dont want to watch) with an audience with the legend that is Robin Hardy

Yesterday Hana came down for the night, which was amazing. So good to see her again. Missed that gal.

Luckily i could get outta work pretty early, tattooed her...

and we went to Camden to pick her up a skateboard...

it rides so smooth, i'm glad i get to babysit it while she's outta London.

So we went for lunch too, which was ... interesting. Had some sort of risotto balls.

and coffee, and free cake.

cant complain.

Also got her a set of keys cut for my flat....
The key place has less than inviting signage...

So then we headed back to mine, (where i attempted to teach Hana the tequnique to getting my front door open.... but kinda just ended up making inappropriate comments and sex noises what with all the 'in out' fiddly nonsense.) We went for a skate but couldn't go to my usual patch of concrete due to some weird inexplicable mass of traffic. ah well, had a little roll about, then got ready to go to what i heard was a Blugrass gig.

i wouldnt call it Bluegrass.

No way, Jose.

Was a fun night though, we made Walrus noises, talked optilingus, generally freaked out Paul.

The usual.

This morning we went to the park....

awesome start to a day which i can only imagine will end just as awesome...

only going to watch MxPx later.

*gush*

in with the old and out with the new

so... what's been happening. i got an i phone.... that's what. it's pretty rad. i wanted one for ages, and now.... finally.... the time has come. the camera is so much better than my ghetto ass blackberry. very pleased.

here's some photos...

it's cool coz some of my best friends have just got i phones too, so we r all being geek turds together.

and we ALL seem to be having a hard time with auto correct! haha

in other news, i baked a pretty sweet (oh, the pun.....) cake on tuesday...

so sweet in fact, i got a text message verification at half 1 in the morning... haha

best text message ever.

right, so i have also been working this week....

did this on Kaye...

who got me the coolest brooch! it's clay! it's so old time folky i friggin' adore it...

wow, the whole in my lip is still crazy visible. i havent had anything in that for YEARS. not used to seeing myself smiling from down there....

anyways, then yesterday i tattooed Russell who came from afar. we r facebook buddies, so was nice to meet him ... finally. slightly worrying that he called me 'mental'... only for me to find out he works in a mental institute. worrying. very worrying. well he cant think i'm THAT mental or he wouldnt have let me go near him with needles, and ink... n stuff.

anyways, we did this super fun cover up... well 'we' didnt. i did. sounding mental now....

i'll leave it at that.

magic carpet ride

First up, this is for Hana (i'm sure u would be wondering why i had tagged u in this post.... so thought i'd save u the hassle of reading through the whole post)

Thursday evening after work Kerry and i decided to go to the fun fair in Finsbury park. It had been raining on and off all day, but luckily when we got there, the skies were clear, and there was pretty much nobody else there, so no pushing, shoving, kids running around or queuing. spectacular.

was really fun, and i needed a little pick me up that day.

cowboy and indian horses rock.

"don't be dippy lick whippy"
wow

one of the rides me and kerry were on broke halfway through the ride. It was not the insanely tall one.... that worked swimmingly. we had to empty our pockets and shit, coz u don't want loose change getting flung from all the way up there... didn't stop a lighter i found on me after they had strapped us in falling all the way from the top.... and a great view of some weird guy who literally RAN to it, and nicked it. cheeky bugger.

saw this retard outside the park...

so.... Saturday night Kerry and Tahira stopped round mine for some wine, sonic the hedgehog, pizza and idiotic shenanigans.

turns out i am pretty damn good as Sonic Spinball. Shoulda seem me draining all the slime... crazy.

So kez had to head to work Sunday morning, leaving me n Tahira to potter about. Made her an omelette for breakfast, then took her out skating. Normally there's nobody about, but this Sunday, there was some Kung Fu master giving a lesson... who Milo decided to try to attack. Milo.... Kung Fu masters will fight back... and probably win. Be sensible.

Anyways, after a bit of a roll around, we headed out to the antique warehouse place down the road from me... Bought a cool hip flask, a little shelf, and a gorgeous brooch. No photos... surprisingly. ah well.

So then i decided to walk her around Monken Hadley... and take her to the pirate grave which is super haunted and creepy. oh, speaking of pirates.... check this dude out!!

Anyways, Monken Hadley is stunning. I love it up there.

i don't know why.... but i thought this tree was adorable and awesome.

my enthusiasm totally rubbed off on Tahira too...

i fell in love with this little place too...

and this headstone rocked my socks. (sorry pirate dude... ur grave aint nearly this cool, and had loads of orange mould on it) maybe i should go clean it..... yeah, maybe i will.

This place had a rad sign....

right!?

anyways, Simon came up to Barnet perfectly timed for our return from Monken Hadley. We were trying for a Sunday roast on the High Street, but i didn't fancy the Red Lion, and Ye Olde Mitre didn't do a roast... but we got told about a pub called the Arkley, a little walk out of Barnet, but a really good roast. Also got told it was kinda high end, so i went home and changed, put some tweed on to be safe.

Was an amazing find. Simon called it "the kinda place we would be coming to with our parents if we had turned out as they planned". Ha.

The food was absolutely incredible.

As were the toilets....

Anyways, i had no intention of drinking as much as i did, but it started chucking it down outside, and it was a long enough walk for us to not want to repeat in rain. So we stayed. And drank.

Was slightly taken aback by the dilapidated ghetto that lay across the road of this glorious pub....

Once the rain cleared, we headed back to Barnet... stopping in the Lord Nelson for a pint.... for the sole reason that an online review stated it was full of "elderly near death and sexy barmaids" which excited Simon and myself for obvious reasons.

The internet lied.

But they did have an impressive collection of salt and pepper shakers.

(i told simon all about your brief kleptomania for salt and pepper shakers all those years ago, Mother)

Anyways, then Harry came round and watched season 1 of East Bound n Down, which i was amazed to find he had never seen. ever. well... til last night that is.

Was a really good day. what i can remember of it (long story).

working girl

i'm seriously running out of titles. sorry to anyone who was googling prostitution and found this blog.

so, here's some new work....

so this was done on my buddy Will, who had been vegetarian for a very long time.... until *epic drum roll* 6.1.12. now he is very partial to fried chicken... and i cant blame him.

next up, this lil' beauty on Lulu... who always gets fun cool stuff. This was on my Valentine's flash set, and we omitted a rose, as she has enough roses. For now...

This piece was on Rakesh... who seems to be becoming a bit of a regular. Never a bad thing.

And last but not least, just finished these 2 pieces on Ellie. We shall be adding a rocket, planets, n space stuff in the background before long.

Last up, this useless button. Lord just came in, so i shall be polite and get off the computer.
