here is the other stuff i wanted to post up. i really like this piece.the client was sweet as a nut and gave me a fair amount of freedom with the designs which is never a bad thing!
anyways, i'm about to leave work, so happy new year everyone!



i've found out about some interesting upcoming projects today which i'm pretty excited about, one is a magazine job cant say what mag yet, and apparantly there's gonna be some mystery guest on the cover, i dunno yet....they dont tell me much, but it looks like i'll be doing a lot of designing for the feature, and may even get a whole page dedicated to Star Crossed!

so i've had a fair few nice little pieces i've been working on recently. and i havent posted anything it what seems like a trillion days, but i've had a terrible back and had to take a few days off work to try to rest...hasnt done much good by the feel of it, but i got tomorrow and the next day off for new years too.
anyways, here's some recent work. i actually am gonna post 2 blogs today (if all goes to plan which most likely will not happen!)

i really like this piece! was worried i'd lose thje stencil coz elbows suck fat stuff, but all went well, and the funny thing is, there was actually some stencil still on there by the time i'd finished!!! (the smoke comin' thru the clouds.)

i've had a fair few nice little pieces come my way recently, which is never a bad thing. it's been nice having a second artist here to lighten some of the workload too. got some mammoth pieces getting booked in in january. 2 full sleeves on passers by who are convinced they'll be able to sit through day in day out sittings...... ouch....!

so we have finally moved in to our new house. its awesome. on monday we are welcoming 2 guest artists too (Dragon Edong from Saipan USA, and Ricky Sta.ana from the Philippines), so anyone who tried to book in but couldnt coz we r so busy, we now have spaces opened up, so get your ass back to the studio! there is loads of info on facebook so check out the even by star crossed tattoo for more info!
anyways, this is just a quick post between customers. here's some recent work i've done.

half sleeves and head tattoos

so.... did a nice half sleeve the past 2 days. we started it yesterday, and finished it today. the guy sat like a super trooper, it musta sucked big time today after a night of pain n stuff. its probably my favorite dragon to date, but this guy was a kickass customer, and pretty much left it all up to me, where as most of the dragons i've done in the past had to have "this and this, and look like this, but with a little less of this...." if ya know what i mean!

anyways, i had 2 more customers after the sleeve, and i started a nice geisha on a girls back, covering a gecko or something. didnt take a before photo, but i'm hoping i got one lying around one one of the hard drives.... anyways, its only lined at the moment.
then when everybody left, i tattooed ross' head. good times!

anyways, blog....bloggg..... been getting a bit lax with the blogging, so i'm pretty much rambling now to fulfill the blog requirements i have set myself somewhere in the depth of my little mind......
So i am moving house soon, havent packed a thing, well i tell a lie, i packed a box. Last minute packing is way more sensible anywyas, coz u aint got time to wonder and stroke your beard about what to keep and what not to keep..... u just chuck whatever u cant live without in a box and go on ur merry way.

Off to the fringe tomight to see sea monster, bone table and hungry ghosts for some post halloween hell raising. be there or be square.

saipan tattoo festival

So i am back at the shop now, after an awesome week away at the annual international tattoo festival in saipan (which is one of the most awesome places i have and probably will ever go to!)
I cant believe how well the convention went. everyone was super friendly, and there were some awesome artists there. they guys from Club tattoo (USA) were in the booth next to ours, and we had some funny ass nights out after the convention. we made some awesome contacts, and i got invited to work at some great studios (black eyes in japan, triple star in paris among others). we are welcoming guest artist ricky santana from skinworkz in dec so anyone interested get in touch. he's only working 3 days, so get your skates on!
anyways, the convention was 4 days, and i walked away with 1st place for "tattoo of the day" on thurs, for a gypsy head i did, and i won 1st place for "most realistic tattoo" on fri. and i won 2nd place for "tattoo of the day" on fri, sat and sun!
really quick post as i try and catch up on e mails etc from while we were away. here are some pics (more to come soon i promise!

Long time no blog lah...

So life has been crazy crazy! Trying to sort everything out before we head off on Mon to Saipan tattoo Convention. we'll b gone 1 week. Can't wait. It feels like out honeymoon (we never had one!) So, on top of all that, our laptop decided to go off and die on us, so we had to get a new computer. Now in between working, designing, and answeriung e mails, i barely have any time (me time i mean) online. We aint got no internet at home so now it's 12:30 am, i am so ready to head off to amazonia for a booze up, but i thought i'd quickly upload some new work and let ya'll know what's what!





tomorrow is my day off and we r thin
king of going to disney land. coz of halloween we heard there was a huge nightmare before christmas stuff thing-a-me-jig.

plus i just bought the most kick ass star trek dvd boxset. ALL the borg episodes from all series! hahahaha too cool. (stop laughing, i can hear ya)

just to make things crazy clear, we are moving house, not the studio! so many ppl have asked. hope that clarifies everything!

The wheels on the bus go round and round....

So yesterday we went looking for a new place to live. Kinda sucked, "meh".

Anyways, after that, we went to the Wanch for our monthly showcase. It was a kickass night. Zane and Corey, and Brendan and Josh all did little acoustic sets. Then we had Mammoth play their first ever show, and they ROCKED! They were AWESOME! (but i guess everyone knows that already, coz they cant stop telling people! haha



We also had Oi! Squad and the Bowie Knives play.
As always, they were great too!

Then I had a little freak out about moving, and whether we should go back to the U.K, and blah blah blah. I'm really starting to feel a little stir crazy, and I miss all my friends back there, and I miss going to shows there, and I miss getting tattooed there....etc etc.

I was really feeling bummed out.



Anyways, then we headed to Amazonia, and that cheered me up a whole bunch, but I was still kinda "meh".
And then.....I found out something AMAZING!!!!! I cant say, coz nobody knows, but now I'm stoked to be in Hong Kong!
Anyways, here's somestuff I did, got to finish this off, i had done the outline first ( been waiting a year to finish this one!)



Then the same guy (Nick, a mate of ours) got the weirdest tattoo ever.

He got a dotted line around his neck with "cut here"(in arabic) and an itty bitty pair of scissors next to it. Freak Nick, seriously.

here's one i did earlier. my back hurts, had a bad few days, and not in the mood to blog too much. i got my notice from my landlord to move yesterday, and i'm a little more than peeved about it. anyways, i'll either post another blog later after a few hundred beers, or in a few days when i got something else worth posting!

prob got 2 more sessions on this, although it'll prob turn into 3, much to his dismay i'm sure.







tomorrow's the PIRATE PARTY gig we're organizing, so the shop'll be closed.
i'll be drinkin my rum and pilaging the bar i'm sure!

land lubber

So had a weird ( so many adjectives could replace this one!) day yesterday. I got invited to go on the Mad Dog M.C 5th anniversary cruise, and tattoo the 5th year anniversary tattoo on members. I could hardly turn down a free cruise, free drink n food n stuff right? Albeit, i didnt get to drink much, coz the boat ride was pretty bloody rocky, so no tattooing til we dropped the anchor somewhere in the middle of nowhere! Even then, it wasn't exactly easy tattooing on a boat, and i wouldnt put it in your "things to do" list anytime soon....

Anyway, it was an awesome day out, weather was beautiful, and what better way to spend a day than with a bunch of bikers and a bunch of hookers right?! haha, its funny, it actually wasn't as bad as i was expecting, the men to hooker ratio was a lot lower than boasted, and lucky for me, i managed to run upstairs and grab a beer and a bite to eat while the tits were out! all in all, a good day!

Spent a good few hours finishing off a rib piece today, then 2 small script pieces, so ended up with an hour or so free to work on this piece. In case y'all r wondering, "why all the women?" its coz i'm working on getting a set of prints to sell at a convention i'm workin next month. So you'll be seeing more of these in the future too I'm afraid!

I've said it before and i'll say it again! i am LOVING these marker pens. quick n easy, and i'm digging the final look. quick washes again with watercolour, but the main majority of colour etc is deleters.
