here's one i did earlier. my back hurts, had a bad few days, and not in the mood to blog too much. i got my notice from my landlord to move yesterday, and i'm a little more than peeved about it. anyways, i'll either post another blog later after a few hundred beers, or in a few days when i got something else worth posting!

here's what i spent the better part of today doing....

prob got 2 more sessions on this, although it'll prob turn into 3, much to his dismay i'm sure.







tomorrow's the PIRATE PARTY gig we're organizing, so the shop'll be closed.
i'll be drinkin my rum and pilaging the bar i'm sure!
back at work on sat, prob opening an hour or 2 later than usual, yo ho ho and a bottle of ink! arrrrrr

land lubber

So had a weird ( so many adjectives could replace this one!) day yesterday. I got invited to go on the Mad Dog M.C 5th anniversary cruise, and tattoo the 5th year anniversary tattoo on members. I could hardly turn down a free cruise, free drink n food n stuff right? Albeit, i didnt get to drink much, coz the boat ride was pretty bloody rocky, so no tattooing til we dropped the anchor somewhere in the middle of nowhere! Even then, it wasn't exactly easy tattooing on a boat, and i wouldnt put it in your "things to do" list anytime soon....

Anyway, it was an awesome day out, weather was beautiful, and what better way to spend a day than with a bunch of bikers and a bunch of hookers right?! haha, its funny, it actually wasn't as bad as i was expecting, the men to hooker ratio was a lot lower than boasted, and lucky for me, i managed to run upstairs and grab a beer and a bite to eat while the tits were out! all in all, a good day!

Another painting

Spent a good few hours finishing off a rib piece today, then 2 small script pieces, so ended up with an hour or so free to work on this piece. In case y'all r wondering, "why all the women?" its coz i'm working on getting a set of prints to sell at a convention i'm workin next month. So you'll be seeing more of these in the future too I'm afraid!

I've said it before and i'll say it again! i am LOVING these marker pens. quick n easy, and i'm digging the final look. quick washes again with watercolour, but the main majority of colour etc is deleters.

Geisha a go go!

So had a few hours free time today at work, and finished off a sketch i have been workin on in dribs and drabs. been using a lot of deleter pens recently, coz they are perfect for on the go stuff. quick washes of watercolour, and done. chewed up the paper a little in places, but that didnt suprise me, its not watercolour paper, its just my regular sketch book. fuck it, shit happens eh? i'm sure its nothing photoshop couldnt fix, if only i knew how to use it! haha

Anyways, weird day, got accosted by some complete twats on my way to work who seemed to think i would have the answer to the meaning of life, and the answer to "who's the better feminist?" PJ harvey or "that singer from 4 non blondes" as they put it.

Anyways, did a fishy fish fish today, 4 an a half hours on a newbie. Good going. I woulda cropped it if the internet connection on the ferry wasnt so piss poor, but it'll do!

Video killed the radio star

So...... awesome week. Yesterday we were live on the radio being interviewed for RTHK, had to get up stoopid early (the ealiest i think in 3 years for me!) and just managed to get there before the news finished just in the nick o' time. Wasn't as nerve wracking as i was worried it would be. I'm not the most talkative person at the best of times, especially when i'm sober! But i think it went well. Here's the link:

So then straight to work for a full day of tattooing, I was workin til about midnight when i finished the last tattoo of the day, about 2 hours behind schedule! Awesome pieces I got to do yesterday. The last pic was an add on to an existing piece (he already had the chinese characters) but i reworked them too as they were pretty blown and faded.







Then today, i get to work only to get an e mail from a guy in the States, telling me he couldnt decide to go on holiday to Japan, or Hong Kong, but after reading an article about me in Inked magazine, he's decided to come here and get tattooed by me. How awesome is that?! I didnt even know we were even in the magazine! haha
